A taste of what happens at Arkwright Primary School.
Children and staff support children in need each year by taking part in various fund raising activities. This year we raised £117.94
For the first time in 2021 our school took part in the Chesterfield in Bloom contest and we are very proud to say that we were awarded certificates in the vibrant vegetable and fabulous flower sections of the competition.
The school is proud to hold a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan each year. This event is supported by all parents each year and takes place in the Arkwright Centre.
Children and staff support this fundraising event each year by wearing their Christmas jumpers on various days throughout December.
Our Christmas Fayre takes place each year in December. Children in each class create seasonal sweets and crafts to sell to parents, relatives and carers. In 2021 the children raised £710. which will go towards future events and activities for the children within school.
You can take part in fun activities such as tombola stalls, hook a duck, football games or you can just chill with and ice cream at our fun annual event in the summer term. All funds raised are re-invested back into fun events and trips for the children.
The school hosts an afternoon of Harvest activities. Parents and children complete a wide range of craft activities linked to the theme of Harvest and Autumn.
